The 36th World Diamond Congress held this June saw two new members joining ranks of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses. The Diamond Bourse of Canada (DBC) and Korea Diamond Bourse were accepted into WFDB bringing the total members to 30.
Canada is an important hub for diamond businesses due to its production capacity and also as a distribution hub for countries bordering US. David Gavin, president of DBC, will attend the International Diamond Week to be held at Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) during first week of September accompanied by several key members of DBC.
With such steps, Canada has noticeably increased its presence on the international diamond arena.
